The stolen Bruegel - Audiotour in collaboration with 'Het Geluidshuis'
There are mice in Gaasbeek Castle... For the exhibition 'Feast of Fools. Bruegel Rediscovered' we created an audio guide in which Uncle Rat, the mouse Arnold and his friends go looking for a stolen painting.
"You've come at the right time! A painting has been stolen, and not just any painting, a Bruegel painting! You know, the world famous genius painter? The manager of Gaasbeek Castle has put me on a mission to retrieve it. I've asked my nephew Arnold and his dear friend Madeleine to help me out. Do you want to help too?"
Ask for your audio guide at the reception and let's go! Listen carefully, try to solve the riddles and I'm sure we'll find the stolen painting.

The audiotour is available in English, French and Dutch
In the wall there is only a nail,
from the painting it supported, no trail
I took it, see, thieving is my art.
To retrieve it, you must do your part.
Read these riddles, read them well
and listen to what the mice have to tell.
Look for clues behind these doors
and Bruegel's masterpiece
will soon be yours.
